Medical clinic UPDATE Dear friends, The Bell Family Foundation sponsored its first medical clinic of 2011 to the children of the Degara people in Africa. Please, when you have a few moments to really read this and view the pictures, see what an impact your funds have had on these people. It is amazing what we can accomplish for 5000.00. for less than 12.00 per person, all these people received aid, prayer, and hope. Thank you for all you do to support us. From: Geoffrey Richter [mailto:richter6family@gmail.com] Subject: two medical clinics this week Dear Matt Bell and Family, I would like to thank you for the generous money you sent for medical clinics. With the grace of God 353 people were seen by five doctors, five nurses and many volunteers this week in two villages. What a glorious few days it was for all involved. The statistics were amazing. Most of the children were very sick having one or a combination of Malaria, (1/3 had malaria in the non- malaria season), Typhoid, upper respiratory infection, worms, giardia, and open wounds. Out of the 353 people seen we have many follow-ups... We will get the numbers to you this afternoon. Some of the follow-ups are hernia surgeries, non-descended testicle surgeries, treatment of severe burns and many bad wounds, severe infection in a young boy's lung and finally a three year old with the possibility of 1-2 holes in her heart (a condition which would not be able to treat at all in this country).
